Four Pugin Portcullis Chairs

An iteration of the iconic Portcullis chair designed by Augustus Pugin as a general use chair for the Palace of Westminster.
Gillows and Holland & Sons produced these chairs, although these are unmarked.
Oak with patinated blue-green leather, this more detailed chair was used in the House of Lords predominately, always using red leather, all with inset brass castor to the front legs.
Highly original examples.
