An 18th Century Chinese Export Bureau Cabinet
The broken swan neck pediment above a pair of dome topped doors that open to a fitted interior, carrying handles to both sides of the upper cabinet.
The base raised on square tapering leg with block foot, single fall front door opening to reveal a removable open pigeon hole with drawers below (replaced).
Circa 1750.

This bureau cabinet was produced in Canton (Guangzhou) in southern China, which in the 18th century became the principal trading port at which Europeans were permitted to buy Chinese goods.
