A cast iron bistro table with a brass bound Carrara marble top.
Period correct original painted decoration, casting marks to the base, "Fischel Modele Depose" "Registered design", an exceptionally pure piece of early modernism.
Produced by D.G. Fischel & Sons, circa 1932-35.

Fischel was founded in 1871 by Czech born David Gabriel Fischel, a successful vegetable oil merchant, using the first hand knowledge of his eldest son who had worked in one of Thonet's Czech factories. First production was made in Niemes, later production moved to Alsace and sales offices were opened in most major French cities.
