Faux Mahogany Chest Of Drawers

A 19th centrury faux mahogany paint decorated chest of drawers.

Two short drawers above three graduated long drawers, unusual to have the decorartion to the side panels, raised on tall turned feet.

It was common to paint pine furniture to resemble the expensive and mostly unavailable tropical timbers of the period, much was lost to the dipping tank during the 1980-90s.
