C.A.T. Anglepoise Desk Light

A rare "C.A.T." Anglepoise desk light.

Made under licence in Belgium by C.A.T. for Herbert Terry & Sons.

Factory applied water slide "Patent" sticker to the two step base.

Early 1940s.

It has an English factory shade but the rest is pure C.A.T manufacture, the base has a rougher, unfinished texture than the English examples, the springs are different in finish and size, the arms are also different in the material used and weight, this example lacks the finesse and fluidity of the original which I feel makes it an interesting and collectible example. 

Ive only found one of these prior, seemingly from a brief and ultimately unfulfilling manufacturing partnership.

Rewired with black three core fabric covered cable.
