Gros Point Mirror
A mercury plate wall mirror with late 17th century possibly Scottish, Gros Point needlework surround.
The back boards are lightly chamfered and wonderfully original.
The scrolling foliage needlework surround is still vibrant and has metal purl on silk thread interlocking with the vegtable dyed wool.
A rare and beautiful survivor.
Frame and glass circa 1790 the tapestrey earlier.
