A carved gilt wood girandole wall mirror with convex mercury plate.

The mirror plate sits in an ebonised and reeded slip, surrounded by a moulded sphere encrusted frame with dual candle holders and spread eagle above.

The candles shown are the originals found recently with this mirror in northern Scotland. An incredible survivor, usually these mirrors suffer major damages and losses so I won’t purchase them, this is the best example I've found.
