Early Howard Button Back Sofa

Raised on gilt brass cup and castor marked “Cope and Collinson”, early Howard seating used Cope castors, a firm which they later acquired, at this time not all of the factory’s output had the now well known stamps to the rear leg, this example does not have the stamps which is correct.
Reupholstered in factory H & S linen ticking.
A very early example of Howard & Sons work.
