A painted pine linen press. Without a doubt, the best, most original piece of North East Wales painted furniture I have ever found. Exceptional in every way.

The piece has remained completely untouched and sparingly used for over one hundred and fifty years. Not a single part has had any restoration, the one deviation from the original is the two repairs done to the backboard to stop mice getting in, the owner using a piece of tin and a coffee can lid to block knot holes. The scumbled finish is most usually seen on Anglesey furniture but was also seen on pieces closer to the Cheshire border where it was found.
