A George I Giltwood Mirror in the manner of John Belchier

The carved pine frame has a central winged Putti mask surrounded by flower heads with tight scrolls above, the original twin arched bevelled mercury plate is in remarkable condition with only light foxing.
English, circa 1720.
John Belchier mirrors are present at Erddig Hall near Wrexham in North Wales and a mirror held by the Metropolitan Museum, New York, USA.
