A George II Style 19th Century Armchair

A carved timber and gilt gesso upholstered armchair.
The large paw feet each with lion mask above joined by deep stretchers with shell and floral motif, the central apron has a large Male mask with acanthus to both sides.
Unrestored as found state, the upholstery of some age and still completely usable as is.
The details are very much in the manner of Benjamin Goodison (1700-1767).
