Cast plaster copy of a Beethoven life mask.

The original life mask of Beethoven was formed in 1812 and is generally considered to be the truest representation of the composer's facial features. During the casting process Beethoven's face had to be covered in oil before the fluid plaster could be applied, he could only breathe through 2 straws which were placed up his nose.
