Remember Death

Ref: 11930

Sold.

A double sided cast iron Architectural element featuring the symbolic skull and crossed bones of the reflection of our reality that is “Memento Mori”.

This symbolism is seen on many gravestones in Edinburgh and one inscribed 1746 in St Cuthbert's churchyard bears a very close resemblance to this casting.

The casting is taken from the original pattern Drew bought from the foundry that first produced it on the Scottish Borders.

We have commissioned a limited run of these produced at the same foundry.

Scottish 18th Century but newly cast.

* The red mould shown is not for sale *

Please ask for a shipping quotation.
