The shaped top profusely decorated to the black ground with pavilions, lakes and birds in a rural setting, the border framed with a pendant trellis work frieze raised on an architectural column with tall fretwork feet, indistinct pencil signature visible on a paper label to the underside.

Untouched, excellent patination, a rare example of this brief Brighton Pavillion inspired design period.
