A two part mahogany military campaign chest.

Two short drawers over three graduated long drawers , brass bound with inset drop handles, original turned screw in legs.

A interesting example, the sides and top were never meant to be displayed as it remained encased in its steel shipping trunk when in use, so was left unfinished with exposed strap work construction.

Circa 1860.
