The steel frame wrapped in wide almost rope twist brass decoration, joined by rosettes, steel sprung base raised on large brass castor by Harcourt Brothers, Birmingham.

Remnants of the original upholstery to the single backrest.  

Possibly a Campaign piece as it completely disassembles and is of excellent manufacture.

English circa 1850.
