An original brass artichoke pendant light designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 and produced by Louis Poulsen.

This particular light appears to be from an early production run.

Exceptionally rare item in wonderful condition.

When Henningsen was asked to design a lamp for the Langeline Pavilion, a restaurant in Copenhagen, in 1958, it took him only three months to come up with the finished idea as it was based on a lamp he had first produced in 1927, the PH Septima. The artichoke lights first produced for the restaurant are still in situ today.
